Disclaimer

The post below is the review of "The Sound of Drums", using the inept template of Lawrence Miles as a starting point but rectifying everything he says.

The first rule of criticism is to be constructive, Lawrence. If you have nothing positive to say, find something. Just one little thing. No one benefits from ripping something to shreds for your own gain. No one. That sort of behaviour would result in ostracising from the GSFWC! There is a reason why I didn't go to critique Writer X's short story earlier this year: because it was monumentally awful, a sin on writing. I couldn't say anything positive, I could not critique.

You could not say a single good thing about Dr Who this season. When you've been stuck on the boring front, IE, when there is a fantastic episode like "Blink", then you attack the writer for being "untrue and conniving". Hell, you even gave a few home truths about Paul Cornell. Lawrence, my fiance has WORKED with Mr Cornell, we know your views to be little more than the sad, self-implicating delusional rantings of a disappointed hack, unhappy in the revelation that Dr Who was brought back without him.

Grow up, Mad Larry.

Oh, and I can be objective. I liked Alien Bodies.

Yes, I quite agree. His review was adolescent rubbish.

Pre-adolescent response.

Yeah? Cool. And you're the one who hides behind your anonymous status to post critique. So I am adolescent and pre-adolescent, then what does that make you?

Immature? Seriously dude, if you haven't got anything better to do with your time than to post anonymous comments like this on a complete strangers blog, then that it is quite something. If you don't like what is being written, don't read it. If you are actually Lawrence Miles, then truly, this is quite pathetic - especially when you don't allow comments on your own blog. Grow and get a life.
