Finally saw Crooked House
So part one = Stalls of Barchester Cathedral/that one with the thing in the walls
part two = Tractate Middothy/Lost Hearts type ghost in a very A.M. Burrage setting
part three = Oh Whistle/Count Magnus
Very much inspired by M.R. James. It got better as it went on.
And I think the 2nd is about as close as a loose adaptation of Burrage as I'm going to see!
Oh, the Manor is very How Fear Departed from the Long Gallery too, so there's a Benson hint to it too.
